P388D1 cells were infected with a constitutive GFP-expressing strain of Y. enterocolitica and, after 1 h of infection, treated with gentamicin. The infection was allowed to proceed for an additional 3 h, at which point macrophages were stained with the DNA-specific dye Hoechst 33342.
