The prognostic significance of REG4 protein expression in ovarian cancer. Spearman’s rank correlation test showed significant correlation between REG4 protein expression in normal ovarian tissues and patient age (r = 0.436, P = 0.026, Fig. 6a), and between ovarian carcinomas and patient age (r = 0.144, P = 0.027, Fig. 6b). When combined together, REG4 expression was still correlated with patient age (r = 0.0161, P = 0.09, Fig. 6c). Kaplan-Meier survival curves (d, e) indicate a negative association between REG4 protein expression and cumulative or relapse-free survival rates of patients with ovarian cancer. REG4 protein expression was based on the IHC results classified as: 0 (negative), 1 (+), 2 (++), and 3 (+++)
