Hydroxycinnamate-Ara conjugate analysis. CW FA-Ara and pCA-Ara conjugates released from leaf blades (A,B) and leaf sheath/stem (C–E) tissues of T₁ transgenic Brachypodium empty-vector control lines (173 and 175) and RNAi-RGP1 lines (371, 373, 382, 384, and 393) were analyzed by GLC-MS. All values were normalized with EVC_173 set to 100%. The EVC_173 values (μg hydroxycinnamate-Ara conjugate mg^-1 CW ± SEM) were 7.66 ± 0.43, 2.70 ± 0.18, 15.18 ± 0.59, and 5.35 ± 0.05, respectively, for (A–D).
