Course of repeated herpes simplex virus-thymidine kinase (HSV-tk) + ganciclovir (GCV) treatment. Five patients received repeated administration of intravenous GCV for 2 weeks following intraprostatic injection of adenovirus-mediated HSV-tk. After an additional 4 weeks, four patients underwent radical prostatectomy. Arrows indicate the timing of analyses by flow cytometry.
