[Ca²⁺]_i rise induced for OS enhances the levels of Cx43 on the cell surface. MLO-Y4 cells were pre-incubated with 5 μmol·L⁻¹ BAPTA-AM, treated with 0.3 mmol·L⁻¹ H₂O₂ for 1 h and then were subjected to cell surface biotinylation. Biotinylated samples and total cell lysates were immunoblotted using an affinity purified anti-Cx43 antibody.
