Topical administration of LE-MPP significantly prevented vascular leakage in pigmented rabbit model of VEGF-induced retinal vascular permeability. An IVT injection of VEGF on day 3 induced vascular leakage. Fluorescein angiograms were graded blinded on day 5 and plotted as means ± SEM. Vehicle was given topically QID starting on day 1 (black solid bar). An IVT administration on day 1 of 4.0% triamcinolone acetonide was used as a positive control (checked bar; all values are 0). The LE-MPP, 1.0% was given BID (white solid bar) or QID (striped bar). All groups had 4 rabbits and both eyes (n = 8) were used. Statistical significance was determined using GraphPad Prism v6.0 Tukey's multiple comparison test.
