Fragments of CENP-F as expressed from cDNAs. N436, N558, 1758C, and 2592C were expressed in bacteria and N977 was expressed in SF9 cells, as described in Materials and methods. (A) The relationships between these pieces and the entire coding sequence of CENP-F. (B) For N436, N558, N977, and 1748C Coomassie-stained electrophoresis gels of the partially purified fragments and adjacent immunoblots with anti–penta-his (QIAGEN) or anti-CENP-F, confirming that the proteins isolated are the ones expressed.
