Three population groups were defined: Puna, Prepuna, and Monte. Pie charts represent the haplotypes found in each sampling locality. Pie chart section size is proportional to the number of individuals per haplotype. Haplotype designations in the network correspond to those given in Table 1 (H1–H41). The numbers in the haplotypes indicate the number of individuals that share that haplotype.
