The ideal GD drug.

In an ideal situation, any novel therapeutic designed to treat GD should meet the following requirements:

  • – Preserve normal thyroid function

  • – Be safe to administer even during pregnancy

  • – Target the pathophysiological mechanism that leads to the disease and

  • – Should be as cheap or cheaper than current drugs on the market

GD: Graves’ disease.
