The activities of wild-type crude microsomes resuspended in PB (control), wild-type S>10K, or countin⁻ S>10K were measured (Figure 3). The V_max and K_m values were calculated using nonlinear regressions to fit the activity (as a function of the substrate concentration) to the Michaelis-Menten equation.
