Growth curves for TM12.1 and TM12.2 lines and wild-type L. amazonensis promastigotes in the presence or absence of tamoxifen. Promastigotes were cultivated in M199 medium at 25 °C in the absence (TM-) or presence of 12 μM tamoxifen (TM+). Cultures were seeded at 2 × 10⁵ cells/mL and parasites were counted using a Neubauer hemocytometer. Data is the mean and standard error from three independent experiments. The AUC was significantly different between WT (TM-) and TM12.1(TM+) or TM12.2 (TM+) (ANOVA with Tukey's post-test, P < 0.0001).
