Proof-of-principle MR-based motion compensation in the reconstruction in a free-breathing non-human primate. (A) The contrast in the motion corrected and gated images is significantly increased compared with the uncorrected image. The noise in the motion corrected image is reduced compared to the gated image. The quality of the motion corrected image is similar to that of the five-times longer gated acquisition. (B) Corresponding tagged MR image and the estimated motion field during inspiration.
