BDNF Val66Met moderates the relationship between CR and executive function scores. The plot represents age- and gender-adjusted executive function performance as predicted by the composite CR proxy variable for those with low CR (CR scores less than the mean–1s.d.) and high CR (CR scores greater than the mean+1s.d.) for BDNF Met carriers and Val homozygotes, separately.
