Correlation between two sets of estimates of the proportions of surveyed households in poverty, 66 countries, 1994–2011

Notes: In the World Bank and absolute wealth estimates, households with a daily consumption expenditure below 1.25 constant 2005 international dollars per capita and households with an absolute wealth estimate of less than 1000 constant 2011 international dollars per capita were considered to be in poverty, respectively. Each plotted point is based on data from a demographic and health survey conducted in one of 66 different countries. A trend line has been drawn through the points.
