Local excess solvent molecule densities in contact with a 40-Å solute, relative to their concentration in bulk. g01j is for small solvent spheres of the diameter of water, d1 = 2.8 Å (red circles). g02j is for crowders ranging in diameter d2 from 2.8 Å to 40 Å (black squares).
