The diet choice period is the combined intake for high fat, protein and carbohydrate diets. Standard error bars are shown. Gorging mice ate an average of 51.6% ± 5.98% of their total food intake in 2 h during restriction, non-gorgers ate 15.8% ± 1.98%, while controls only ate 1.5 ± 0.33%. Gorging behaviour did not continue after restriction.
