Filters allow Treemap users to rapidly identify genes of interest based on quantitative attributes. (A) Filters can be used to select genes based on specific quantitative attributes in Treemap. Users can apply "filters" in the control panel (red circle). In this example, the "average fold-change" slider was moved to include values greater than 2 (red circles), and the Treemap display was updated so that all values less than 2 turn grey. (B) Filtered values that are not of interest can be removed by selecting the "hide filtered" button in the "filters" control panel (red circles), and this removes grey boxes.
