Effect of Rhodiola rosea extract on Th1/Th2 cytokines in the plasma of septic mice. Groups of mice were treated with Rhodiola rosea extract and 8 h later challenged by caecal ligation and puncture for 24 h. Levels of Th1 cytokines (IFNγ, IL-2 and IL-12) and Th2 cytokines (IL-4 and IL-10) in the plasma were measured using ELISA, and the ratio of IFNγ/IL-4 was determined.
