Additional treatment to eradicate GSCs. Postoperative chemo- and radiotherapy decreases the number of viable GSCs and GBM niche cells, although nearly “naked” GSCs remain in these incomplete GBM niches where suitable microenvironment for supporting GSCs is damaged.
