For all figures, *** = p-value < 0.005, ** = 0.005 < p-value < 0.01, * = 0.01 < p-value < 0.05. The number of replicates per experiment is between 9 and 19 for all experiments in all figures unless otherwise noted. Bouton counts were not normalized for muscle fiber area, as the latter did not vary with statistical significance across experimental groups.
