Figure 1

Cell death upon ABT-737 is selective for peripheral blood (PBL). (a–d) Il10/ and Il10/ × Bim/ mice in the model of spontaneous colitis. (a) Flow cytometry revealed an increased number of propidium iodide (PI)+ cells in PBL upon ABT-737 treatment. Mann–Whitney rank-sum test. Treatment with ABT-737 (b) significantly decreased the number of lymphocytes and (c) significantly increased the number of granulocytes compared to vehicle. Statistical analysis was performed using analysis of variance (anova) and all pairwise multiple comparison procedures (Bonferroni t-test), P < 0·05 (*). (d) Mass cytometry revealed a decreased proportion of CD44+ CD62L+ central memory T cells upon ABT-737 compared to vehicle.
