Standard colony formation assay was performed in (A) BRL-3A, (B) CBRH-7919, (C) HLF and (D) A549 cells incubated for 1 h with increasing doses of cisplatin under both high- and low-density culture conditions. The results are expressed as the mean ± s.e.m. (four to eight experiments); *P < 0.05, differs significantly from low-density culture conditions.
