Figure 3

Coronal microPET images of [18F]1 in rhesus macaque monkeys, showing a control study (A) and four studies using desipramine (DMI) to induce varying degrees of pharmacological blockade of cardiac NET. The DMI doses used were 0.010 mg/kg (B), 0.0316 mg/kg (C), 0.10 mg/kg (D) and 1.0 mg/kg (E). For the highest DMI block condition (E), myocardial levels of [18F]1 at the end of the study (80–90 min) are lower than the activity levels in whole blood.
