4LB5 inhibits breast cancer cell growth in vivo (ii). (A and B) NOD-SCID mice (n = 10) were injected with 2 × 106 MDA-MB-231-Luc cells into the mammary fat pad. After 2 d, mice were treated with 2 mg/kg (n = 5) of 4LB5 or with control solution (n = 5), twice a week. At 4 wk of treatment, mice were killed. Tumors were excised and measured. (C and D) Average tumor volume (L × W × H) (C) and weight (D) of tumors in A and B is reported. **P < 0.01. (E) Following euthanization, body weight was measured to evaluate potential toxic effects of the treatment.
