Error rates of Illumina and ION sequencing platforms. An error control was processed in parallel with all samples in this study. Error control sequencing data were used to calculate platform- and base-specific mutation rates. The data were calculated for the Illumina HiSeq2000 (A) and ION Torrent (B) platforms. These data were included in filtering of the experimental sequence data to reduce error levels.
