(A) No recovery of the paw ipsilateral to the spinal hemisection lesion (Left placement) was observed in cylinder reaching in either gelfoam control or bridge implanted mice. (B) A significant reduction in errors for the paw ipsilateral to the spinal hemisection lesion was observed on the horizontal ladder beam in bridge implanted versus gelfoam control mice 10 weeks after injury (mean ± SEM, 1-way ANOVA, F(7,29) p<0.0001; *one-tail t-test p=0.02).
