A schematic of a closed loop ON-OFF DBS system that uses external non-invasively measured signals for control. The ON-OFF switch turns DBS OFF at pre-determined delay (optimized per each patient) and turns it ON when tremor is predicted via a command through the RF link from the signal processing unit. The switching assembly is non-invasively placed above implanted pulse generator, at location where physician/patient presently performs manual ON-OFF switching as required. Note: EM - Electromagnetic.
