Effects of mannose on histological changes of LPS-induced ALI in mice. Mice randomly received a saline solution or mannose (50, 150, 450 mg/kg) by intravenous injection in the tail vein 5 min before and 3 h after intratracheal instillation of LPS (4 mg/kg). Samples were collected 6 h after administration of LPS. Pathological changes in lung tissues were observed by HE staining (light microscopy, ×400). A. Saline-treated control mice. B.
