Effects of mannose on the serum levels of cytokines of LPS-induced ALI in mice. Mice randomly received a saline solution or mannose (50, 150, 450 mg/kg) by intravenous injection in the tail vein 5 min before and 3 h after intratracheal instillation of LPS (4 mg/kg). Samples were collected 6 h after administration of LPS. The TNF-α, IL-6, IL-10 and TGF-β1 levels in the BAL fluid were evaluated by ELISA.
