Spectroscopic details of fractions Mn₁ and Fe₁ characterized by their retention times (rTs) from the size exclusion chromatogram (Fig. 3A). From the spectra of each peak (Supplemental Fig. S4), the A₄₈₀ to A₄₁₀ and the A₇₀₀ to A₆₇₀ ratios were calculated, and the wavelength of the maximum absorption (λ_max) in the red absorption region of the Chl was determined. Values are based on a single but typical chromatogram of α-DM-solubilized thylakoids using Bis-Tris as the mobile phase.
