Immunoblotting showed increases in Cox-2 and ICAM-1 and a reduction in Zo-1 and Claudin-4 after one course of paclitaxel compared with normal lung tissue; p < 0.01. These changes were reversed by using parecoxib in combination with paclitaxel, while the group that received parecoxib treatment alone resembled the Con group.
