The effect of 1α,25(OH)₂D₃, calcipotriol and 20(OH)D₃ on CRC colony formation in Matrigel. Cells in Matrigel were incubated with varying concentrations (0.02, 0.1 or 0.5 μM) of (A) 1α,25(OH)₂D₃, (B) calcipotriol or (C) 20(OH)D₃ for 10 days. Light microscopy of representative ‘megacolonies' formed in 10 days following the addition of (D–G) 1α,25(OH)₂D₃ and (H–K) calcipotriol on LoVo cells are also shown. Original magnification, ×100.
