(A–B) Cell cycle distribution analysis of RCE-induced G1 cell-cycle block. MDA-MB 231 cells were first treated with RCE at the indicated concentrations for 24 h and 48 h, and then analyzed with Muse TM Cell Analyzer as described in Materials and Methods. (C–D) MDA-MB 231 cells were incubated with RCE (200 μg/mL) for 48 and 96 hours and stained for SA-β-Galactosidase activity to detect senescence. Data are representative of three independent experiments. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.005, ***p < 0.001).
