After 6 and 12 months on ART, viral levels were significantly higher in infants with NVP resistance than those without (p=0.007, p=0.030, respectively). All seven infants with resistance experienced virologic failure by 12 months on ART compared with two of the nine infants without NVP resistance (p=0.003).
