qRT-PCR analysis was performed using total RNA from petals at each floral developmental stage (S1–S5). The expression in yellow petals at stage 1 was used as a calibration standard. Data from real-time PCR were normalized to the helicase gene expression value, and relative transcript levels are presented as means with standard errors (S.E.) of five replications.
