Developing a testable representation of MCAK-driven MT depolymerization for HX. Drug-stabilized MTs are resistant to MCAK-induced destabilization, allowing for higher MCAK loading on the lattice to compensate. An intermediate state can be formed where residual MTs capture depolymerizing protofilament polymers as windings around the lattice. The lattice-bound captured protofilaments are efficiently isolated by centrifugation.
