C57BL/6 mice in the control group (A) and the pectin-treated group (B) were subjected to 14 Gy TBI. 24h post-IR, the small intestines were isolated, fixed, processed, and stained with anti-Dclk1 antibody (n = 3 in each group). Dclk1 positive cells in cross section are indicated by arrows in panels A and B. The average number of Dclk1 positive cells per cross section was counted for total of 30 cross sections and presented in panel C. The values in the bar graph are given as average ± SEM and * denotes statistically-significant differences (*p<0.01) compared to control.
