Animals were exposed to ethanol in the home cage using the ethanol escalation procedure. Consumption increased with ethanol concentration and stabilised at the 20 % ethanol solution (average consumption 20.89 ± 2.08 and 21.72 ± 1.35 g/kg in the two groups over the final three sessions). There were no differences between the groups. Bars indicate standard errors of the mean (SEM)
