Cells were incubated for 2 h, 4 h or 20 h with 0.01 µM, 0.1 µM or 10 µM CdCl₂, or without CdCl₂ for control, each in the presence or absence of hk S.E. Afterwards cells were harvested, washed, mineralized and the number of cadmium atoms per cell was determined by ICP-MS.
