CANBEF-13 blocks protein translation in S. cerevisiae. S. cerevisiae strain BY4741 was incubated for 15, 30, or 45 min in the presence of [³⁵S]methionine either alone (−) or together with cycloheximide (CHX; 10 μM) or CANBEF-13 (CNBF; 2 μM). Cells were subsequently lysed and were analyzed by SDS-PAGE.
