(A) The antibody to pan-AnkB was generated against the death and C-terminal domains encoded by exons 41–45, 47–48, and 51.23 Expression of multiple AnkB isoforms was detected in heart, skeletal muscle, brain, lung, and liver of wild-type (+/+) mouse neonates and adult mouse heart. (B) The antibody to AnkB-212 was generated against amino acids encoded by exons 50 and 51. Only one isoform of AnkB-212 was detected in heart and skeletal muscle of wild-type neonates and adult mouse heart. Pan-actin immunoblot demonstrates equal protein loading (lower panels).
