Effect of supplemental clay on noxious gas content in feces from weanling pigs. Dietary treatments were as follows: CON: basal diet, PC: basal diet with 44 mg/kg of Tylosin, HC1: basal diet with 3 g/kg Anion plus powder, HC2: basal diet with 6 g/kg Anion plus powder. In this study, the inclusion of HC2 treatment decreased NH3 emission (P < 0.05) compared with other treatments. No difference was observed on H2S. Nitrification of sludge is accelerated by the use of Anion, which selectively exchanges NH4 + from wastewater and provides an ideal growth medium for nitrifying bacteria that can oxidise NH4 + to nitrate. The supplementation of the diet with 3 g/kg Anion concomitantly decreased the noxious gas emission [28]
