# Length and width of yeast cell data were abtained by measuring large number of cells from their SEM photographs; Cell surface areas and cell volume data were calculated with Eqs (2) and (3) according to the major and minor axises (a and b) measurement; Data of Cell wall thicknesses was abtained by the results of the frequency histogram in Fig 5.
