The oppA323p⁺ DNA fragment used in Fig. 4E was preincubated for 16 min with or without 800 nM ScoC or 800 nM CodY in the presence of 10 mM ILV, then incubated for additional 16 min with increasing amounts of either CodY or ScoC, and finally treated with DNase I.
