Table 1. Summary of different wave phenomena.

Wavelengths, 1/k*, were computed using the wave speeds given, a burst duration of 0.1 s, and the same asymmetric STDP rule for the first four rows, with τ + = 20 ms, τ = 40 ms, A + = 1.0 and A = 0.51. For retinal waves in the last row, we used a burst duration of 2 s, and an asymmetric STDP rule with τ + = 0.2 s, τ = 0.4 s, A + = 1.0 and A = 0.55.
