Large pores (0.5∼1 μm) were found in the Fe/N/CF catalyst layer, which facilitate oxygen and water transports. In contrast, the catalyst layers of nanoparticle catalysts (Fe/N/KB and Pt/C) were denser with much smaller pores (∼0.1 μm).
