Performance evaluation of hybrid model. We performed 256 simulations for each of the pure stochastic model as well as the hybrid model with a threshold of 10 and 100. As expected, we see a significant performance gain when using the hybrid model compared to the stochastic model, and the speedup is larger the lower the threshold is, as then we switch earlier to the PDE.
