(A) Abdominal wall defect-cecum abrasion peritoneal adhesion model was established; (B) One week later, a second laparotomy was performed, in which adhesions were cut by a blunt or sharp dissection as needed. The separated abdominal wall and cecal surface were re-abraded with a sterile brush until a bleeding surface was produced; (C) In Dex hydrogel group, 1 mL of Dex hydrogel was applied to coat the both damaged surfaces and the un-damaged surfaces around before complete closure.
