Efficacy (dead and flightless mosquitoes) was assessed 24 h after application. Taking into consideration the average mass of an adult female mosquito (1.97 mg), the ED50 for carbenoxolone is 8.57 μg/mg. The ED50 values for meclofenamic acid and mefloquine are not determinable. Values are means ± SEM. n = 4–8 replicates of ten mosquitoes per dose tested.
