Experimental factors |
For each female, the ovary pair was dissected under stereomicroscope magnification, immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at −80 °C until needed. Proteins were extracted and analyzed by shotgun proteomics. |
Experimental features |
The 25 proteomes were briefly run on SDS-PAGE, followed by trypsin proteolysis. Tryptic peptides were analyzed by nanoLC-MS/MS and spectra were assigned with four protein sequence databases. |
